How Catholic institutions can protect Creation by divesting from fossil fuels

Your organization is invited to join the growing Catholic movement for divestment. Hear from experienced leaders who will share why divestment matters and how it works.

The next Catholic divestment announcement is scheduled for Earth Day, April 22.

On April 5, a one-hour webinar will be led by professionals who speak from experience with divestment in Catholic organizations.  This is a unique opportunity to ask questions and share ideas in an open and welcoming format, exploring whether divestment is right for your organization.

Please join us.  Speakers include:

  • Lorna Gold, Living Laudato Si’ Project Coordinator for Trócaire, and Kingsmill Bond, New Energy Strategist for Carbon Tracker, will provide details on the moral and financial argument for fossil fuel divestment.

  • Johan Elsen, Managing Director of Oikocredit Belgium, will explain why his financial institution divested along with 12 other Belgian Catholic institutions and the Belgian Bishops’ Conference, and will share lessons learned from his journey.

  • Amanda Hanley, member of the GCCM Board and Co-Founder, Vice President, and Secretary of the Hanley Foundation, will chair the webinar, facilitating the conversation between audience and speakers.

We look forward to speaking with you.
